Should Eyebrow Color Match Hair Color?
The color of brows is generally related to hair color, but not identical. Brow hair tends to be a bit more neutral in tone. So, a person with copper-brown hair tones will have more of a neutral brown color to their brows.
Brow hair is denser than hair on the head, and brows are designed to grow to a certain length, and then fall out and be replaced by new brow hair. Since brows are constantly being replaced, they don’t have time for their color to be modified by sun exposure. The hair on the top of the head is lightened by the sun, which brings out the gold and honey and copper tones in brown hair. The hair underneath the neck area gets minimal sun, so it has a flatter, more neutral tone. Brows should match this neutral undertone.
