Eyebrow Microblading in Plano
Eyebrow Microblading is an innovative technique where the microblade artist applies pigment to the brow area, in fine strokes that have the appearance of natural eyebrow hair. The pigment is semi-permanent, and usually lasts from 1 to 2 years. In the procedure, the artist uses a specially designed pen to create a shallow scratch on the surface of the skin. A natural mineral and vegetable-based pigment is applied to the scratch and allowed to absorb. Once the skin closes over the scratch, the pigment is trapped just beneath the surface, and can be clearly seen through the translucent top layers of skin. The effect of skillful eyebrow microblading is to create the appearance of beautiful, natural eyebrows. They will require virtually no maintenance. Does Microblading Hurt?
No. If done properly, Eyebrow Microblading should be a very relaxing and comfortable experience. We use topical anesthetic products to numb the skin, prior to the microblading procedure. If you have read stories about microblading being painful, there are two primary causes: Either the technician did not select the correct anesthetic based on the client’s skin type, or they did not allow enough time for the product to take its full effect before beginning the microblading procedure. Different skin types respond best to different formulas of numbing products, and it is important that the microblade artist selects the most effective product for each client. Different skin types also require different amounts of time for a full numbing effect. At Brows by Bodine, we make it a priority to give each client a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The Healing Process takes approximately a week. During that time brows should be kept clean and moisturized with the ointment we provide, to assist with quick and healing and beautiful results.
During healing, clients are advised to avoid activities that could interfere with healing. These include sun-tanning, swimming pools (chlorine), saunas or hot tubs, etc… We provide each client with a moisturizing ointment for the brows, and a simple list of instruction for each client. These after-care instructions encourage quick and easy healing, with minimal redness or flaking. There will be some redness, similar to the effect of eyebrow waxing. Other than that, your new brows will look great right away, and you can go back to work the next day.
Eyebrow Microblading can be used to fill in areas of the brows that are thin or missing, alter the shape of the brows to create a more aesthetic effect, or add density to brows that lack color due to blonde or gray hairs.
